Me: Daniella, when you were coming down I told you to wear a pair of socks once you get here. You didn’t? I don’t want to go to ER this Christmas, do you hear me?
Daniella: (collects her socks from me and starts putting them on) Mom, I am sorry ok. I was taking care of my babies. I need to feed them baby food and there’s no baby food in this house.
Me: Daniella, I bought toothpaste for us , this is it, use from this when you go to brush ok?
Daniella: where’s mine?
Me: Both of us will use this one ok? It’s great for both of us.
Daniella: (checks out the pack and hugs me smiling and then said) Thank you, Mummy, for the hand gloves and chocolates and the toothpaste, you’re a super mom.
Me: me, super mom
Daniella: yes you are a super mom. I love you ok? I will buy something for you ok?
Me: I love you too. I needed to hear this this morning. I love you too
Daniella: Gozie, why are you crying? You’re not a baby ok? Ok let me go to my roo and take care of my babies, stay here and cover yourself very well, it’s cold. Listen to Daniella, cover yourself ok?
Me: (went under the duvet and grabbed my IPad) thank you, I have. Please meet me in my room by 9.00am so we shower. I want to go to the store and then cook bitter leaf soup for Christmas. Specially made. Do you want to eat bitterleaf soup on Christmas Day?
Daniella: yes and I also want to eat Chinese food, pizza, donought, rice and the bitterleaf soup, and beans, baby carrot, apple, snacks and everything and that’s it for Christmas, ok Mummy??????
Me: yes Ma
Daniella: thank you Gozie, let me go and feed my babies.
Me: (pulls the duvet) Oooooooooo chimooooooooo!!!!
